Clay Studio Nottingham is a working artist's studio which offers open events on a regular basis for anyone interested in experimenting with clay.
Clay Group
If you’re interested in getting your hands on clay and trying things out, come along on Monday evenings 7-9 pm. Support rather than formal teaching is available. The ambience is relaxed and open-minded. No booking required. £12 pay as you go.
Raku Workshops
An opportunity to enter the magical, alchemical world of raku! We offer Raku workshops monthly throughout the year in small, safe groups. Booking is essential for these and the £12 fee can be paid online. Pots will be available to buy, glaze and fire from £6 or why not come to Clay Group and make your own! Small succulents are available for £3 so you can go away with a complete home-made gift (if you can bear to give it away!)
Day Courses
A range of special interest courses are on offer, ranging from throwing basics, architectural tile making and press mould tableware. Details for these can be found on the website.
How to find us
Clay Group is located in the Blue Building inside the grounds of Primary Studios, a former Victorian Primary School.
Use the small side entrance part way up Seely Road and follow the signs.
Parking
Parking is available on surrounding streets on Sundays and on Ilkeston Road opposite the building in the bus lane after 9.30am
